Student Learning Objectives


Activities

  1. Teacher will do research and find 5 to 7 sites that include information about the Painted Lady Butterfly.

    2. Children will search in those sites and find clip art and graphics for the different stages of the butterfly's life cycle.

    3. Students will also take pictures of the butterfly with a digital camera as a caterpillar, chrysalis and adult butterfly. They will learn to download the images to the computer and print the pictures.

    4. Students will use the word processor to add their observations to their science logs.

    5. At the end of the unit, students will do a presentation of their completed Science log.

    6. Teacher will then in turn do a power point presentation including all the work done for the butterfly unit.
